Donato Cabrera, Assistant Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony, conducts the ensemble in two world premieres, and a recent work by Chinese-American composer Du Yun, whose style is a frenetic hybrid of the traditional and the modern, East and West. György Ligeti’s masterpiece for violin, French horn, and piano will be performed by Roy Malan, Lawrence Ragent, and Julie Steinberg.
